Meet The Team

Chethana is a fourth year student in Honours Biochemistry at McMaster University. She aims to study medicine and work as a professional in the healthcare field. Chethana joined the Lotus Youth Council to strengthen her connection with our community and meet new people. 

Sayuni is a third year student completing a double major in the Life Science program at the University of Toronto . Her goal is to study medicine and become a pediatrician. As Vice President she hopes to create a council that is supportive towards the community and inclusive of everybody.

Lakmal is a fourth year student in Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He joined the council to connect with people from the community and to have a positive impact on the people around him.

Mikayla is a second year student at the University of Toronto studying Psychology. She joined the Lotus Youth Council to connect with her cultural identity, as well as meet new people and build friendships

Thisuvi is a fourth year Nursing student at Ryerson University. She aspires to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She joined the council to strengthen her leadership skills and make a positive change in society.

Natasha is a third year Medical Science student at Western University. She joined the Lotus Youth Council to strengthen her cultural roots and to help make a difference in the lives of others in our community and around the world. 

Ranuja is a third year engineering student at McMaster University. He joined the council to practice and improve his skills in logistics and programming. He aspires to use these skills to make a difference in the community.

​Kreshan is a grade 11 student attending J.Clarke Richardson. He plans to study engineering. He joined The Lotus Youth Council to meet new people, have fun, all while making a positive contribution to the community

Harshana graduated in Software Engineering . He joined this council in order to make a bigger difference in our community and to help more youth get more involved in community events.

Matheesha is a recent graduate. He joined the Lotus Youth Council to strengthen his leadership skills and to help make a difference in the community 

Diluk is a grade 11 student at R.H King Academy. He wants to pursue in life sciences and medical school in University. He joined the Lotus Youth Council to give back to the community and the temple.

Kasun is a young professional in Mechanical Engineering seeking to use his skills in Project Management and Leadership to support the Lotus Youth Council. He works directly with the executive team to continuously evaluate the direction of the council, and acts as a mentor to new and young members. As the Liaison of the Lotus Youth Council, he represents the council when establishing relationships with community members, other youth groups, and external parties.

Dilmi is a student at the University of Toronto, studying Political Science and Public Policy. She aspires to guide the council in attaining their set goals by following the Lotus Youth Council principles.
